Squishlings is a cozy creature-care game made for kids. This policy is written specifically with that in mind — see "Children's privacy" below in particular.
The short version: Squishlings collects nothing. No accounts, no ads, no chat with strangers, no data leaving the device. Everything below explains exactly why.
Nothing. Squishlings has no servers, no backend, and no way to send information anywhere. There is no account creation, no sign-in, and no way to enter personal information of any kind — not even a name.
Glimmi's stats, your collected friends, decorations, hearts, and everything else is saved using your device's local storage only. This data never leaves the device — we cannot see it, back it up, or access it in any way. If you delete the app, that progress is gone, the same as any other locally-saved data.
Squishlings does not require — or offer — creating an account, signing in, or linking any online identity to play.
Squishlings does not show advertising of any kind, and does not include any ad networks or ad SDKs.
There is no way to chat, message, or otherwise communicate with other players inside Squishlings, and no open social features of any kind. Kids playing Squishlings cannot interact with strangers through the app.
Squishlings does not include any analytics, tracking, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs. We have no way of knowing how you or your child play the game, and we don't try to.
All sound effects and music play from files bundled inside the app itself. Nothing is streamed from, or reported to, any external service.
Squishlings' shop, decorations, and Mystery Eggs are currently unlocked using hearts earned by playing — there is no real-money purchase available in the app today. If that changes in a future update, this policy will be updated first, any purchases will go through Apple's standard App Store purchase flow (we never handle payment information ourselves), and — because this app is for kids — any purchase screen will be built to require a grown-up's involvement first.
Squishlings is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain data as part of that distribution and as part of iOS system services, entirely outside of anything Squishlings itself does. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details.
Squishlings is designed for children, and we built it around a simple rule: don't collect anything from anyone, ever. That means we don't knowingly — or unknowingly — collect any personal information from children, because the app has no mechanism to collect personal information from any user, child or adult. There's nothing for us to gather, store, or share, which is the safest way we know how to handle a kids' app.
